Land's Edge Vineyard

Wines From This Vineyard

2017 Hartford Court Land's Edge Vineyard Pinot Noir

96 Points

"Crisp tones of raspberry and strawberry give this coastal-driven red a sense of place and tangy freshness. The acidity is spread evenly throughout on the robust palate, while a forest floor tone and dense tannins add complexity and balanced weight. " - Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, July 2020

Our Land’s Edge Pinot Noir is sourced from two Estate owned Vineyards: our Far Coast Vineyard (just south of the town of Annapolis) and our Estate owned Seascape Vineyard (west of the town of Occidental). The name Land’s Edge is derived from the fact that the Vineyards are located high on the Sonoma Coastal Ridges that run along the Sonoma Coast’s land’s edge and the Pacific Ocean. Some call this part of the Sonoma Coast AVA the “True Sonoma Coast.” We also make single vineyard designated wines from each of the Far Coast and Seascape Vineyards. The Far Coast Vineyard is the predominant component of Land’s Edge – typically making up 90% or more of the blend. We find that the Far Coast part of the blend brings Mocha notes to the nose, and a deep black cherry profile while the Seascape Vineyard part of the blend adds savory notes along with hints of salinity to the Land’s Edge Vineyards cuvee.
