Quenching in acid-driven flavors of Meyer lemon, tangerine and grapefruit, this is a lovely, bright, light and complex wine of great structure and refinement. A lasting note of wet stone adds to the beautiful texture. - Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, Spring 2022
"Black and blue fruits drive the aroma initially in this Sonoma Coast Syrah, with slight gamy characters, garrigue, blond tobacco, and lilac aromas. Tasting the wine one finds ripe blueberry and black currant flavors, and tannins that express the wine's mountaintop sourcing. This dense and spicy Syrah was crafted in a style reminiscent of the great wines of the Northern Rhone Valley." - Jeff Stewart and Tiaan Lordan, Winemakers
"Our 2017 Zinfandel Port exhibits a complex nose of cherry cordial, back fruits interlaced with candied orange zest and anise. Ripe blackberry, black cherry, and mocha flavors are framed by nutmeg and ends with a rich, sweet finish. To preserve the depth of character and intensity of flavors, the wine was neither fined nor filtered." - Jeff Stewart and Tiaan Lordan, Winemakers
The aroma in the 2020 is delicate, showing hints of wildflowers and lemon peel. On the palate, the wine is seamless and elegant. Quince and lemon pith flavors are complemented by a light, chalky undertone and a long mineral finish.
