"The 2014 Three Jacks Vineyard Chardonnay is a relatively small cuvee of about 240 cases, comes from multiple clonal selections, with 43% new French oak used. The result is a wine with striking wet-stone minerality that is reminiscent of a Grand Cru Chablis, a hint of tangerine oil and apple blossom, beautiful freshness, delineation and a medium to full-bodied, intensely saturated mouthfeel. This is a beautiful Chardonnay, and, much like the Stone Cote, probably capable of lasting 5-7 years minimum." - Robert Parker, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, October 2016
The Three Jacks Vineyard Chardonnay exhibits aromas of preserved lemon and orange marmalade, with juicy flavors of pear, candied citrus peel and a rich, mineral-driven texture. The wine is full-bodied, weighty and rich yet remarkably agile on its feet because of good underlying acidity.

Vineyard & Vintage Character
Three Jacks Vineyard is a small vineyard in the heart of the Green Valley of Russian River Valley AVA. It is farmed by the Dutton family and has a history with Hartford Family Winery, being bottled as a Designated Vineyard wine from 1999 through 2004, and are delighted to once again be working with this fruit, starting with the 2012 vintage.
The vineyard is located on Graton Road next to the Dutton Shop, and is known to most as Triple JS – the name derived from the partnership of the owners – Joe, Juan, Jose and Steve. It was planted in 1995 to 4 clonal selections: old Wente, Rued, Dijon 95 and Clone 15. The name Three Jacks was coined in a barrel tasting with the 1999 vintage and has stuck ever since.
