"The 2019 Pinot Noir Docker Hill Vineyard is cloaked with a light confectionary aroma of roses, sweet red plum, and cinnamon spice. The structure is ripe, with tannins that emerge on the finish with warming spice. Drink 2024-2036" - Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com, August 2022

Tasting Notes
There is a wonderful combination of power and elegance in the 2018 Docker Hill Pinot Noir. The nose has dark cherry and intense raspberry aromas with a hint of forest, and subtle garrigue. The fruit flavors build in the mouth, showing dark red fruits, with subtle savory herb and spice complexity. The finish lingers with polished tannins and lingering acid and fruit flavors.

Vineyard & Vintage Character
Docker Hill Vineyard is the newest addition to our lineup of Pinot Noir - Designated Vineyard bottlings. The vineyard is in a remote part of Mendocino County near the town of Comptche. Located 12 miles east of the coastal town of Mendocino at 950 foot elevation, the vineyards sits at or above the fog line giving a combination of cold nights and warm days that creates wines with a balance of power and fruit intensity along with the acidity and backbone of a coastal vineyard site. Planted to a mix of Pommard, Dijon 115, 777 and 828, the site reaches maturity in mid-October most years, later than most of our other vineyards.
