"There are 336 cases of the 2013 Zinfandel Hartford Vineyard, which comes from vines planted over 100 years ago on the estate vineyard of the Hartford Family Winery. Aged in 100% French oak (35% new), this wine possesses fabulous fruit intensity as well as abundant notes of black raspberries, blackcurrants and cherries intermixed with licorice, earth, vanillin and spice box. Full-bodied and powerful with massive fruit, opulence and a long finish that lasts nearly 40 seconds, this sensational Zinfandel can be drunk over the next 7-8 years - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, October 2015
"The 2013 Zinfandel Dina's Vineyard emerges from a parcel of 100 year-old head-trained vines next to Highwire. Savory herbs, flowers and distinctly red-toned fruits open up in a precise, chiseled Zinfandel long on personality. A dollop of Carignan in this parcel seems to add brightness and nuance. Polished and silky through to the finish, the 2013 Dina's is one of many highlights in this exceptional range from Hartford Court." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2015
"Another beauty is the 2013 Zinfandel Highwire Vineyard, which comes from century-old vines, half of which are head-pruned and the other half are trained on a trellising system, hence the name. Aged in 50% new French oak, it includes a small percentage of old vine Carignane in the blend. Terrific blackcurrant and kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with loamy soil, pepper, spice and unsmoked cigar tobacco are all present in this big, full-bodied, powerful Zinfandel. It should drink well for 7-8 years."
- Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, December 2014
"Dark red cherries, plums, lavender and sweet spices make a hugely positive first impression in the 2013 Jolene's Vineyard Zinfandel. Violets, smoke, mint and darker stone fruits develop in the glass, all supported by veins of bright acidity and tannin, both of which help convey freshness. This old-vine site on Olivet Road confers tons of pure personality."
- Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2015
"There are 304 cases of the 2013 Chardonnay Fog Dance Vineyard, another Green Valley hillside site just south of the town of Forestville. One-hundred percent barrel-fermented and aged in 29% new French oak, this superb Chardonnay exhibits notes of apple blossoms, lemon oil, white currants, quince and hints of tangerines and orange marmalade. The vintage’s sensational acidity and delineation come through in this full-bodied, super-concentrated 2013." - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, October 2015
"Bright yellow. Powerful, deeply pitched poached pear, mango and iodine aromas, with a zesty mineral overtone. Rich and broad but energetic as well, offering chewy orchard and citrus fruit flavors and a smoky nuance. Quite lithe for such a powerful wine, and showing no excess fat. Closes on a spicy note, with excellent clarity, energy and length." - Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, May/June 2013
"The dense purple-hued 2012 Zinfandel Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard offers plenty of peppery, black cherry and black currant fruit along with hints of licorice, underbrush and roasted Provencal herbs. It was aged in 42% new French Oak. " - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, December 2013
"Vivid yellow. Zesty lemon and green apple aromas are complemented by notes of iodine, sweet butter and anise. Taut and linear on the palate, displaying intense, mineral-accented citrus zest and floral qualities. The mineral element repeats strongly on the pure, focused finish." - Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, May/June 2012
"Full ruby. Primary dark berry and cherry pit aromas are complicated by notes of lavender and peppery spices. Silky and appealingly sweet, offering vibrant black raspberry and floral pastille flavors and an exotic touch of star anise. Silky tannins make a late appearance and add shape to a smooth, clinging finish." - Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, May/June 2013
