“Plump and fleshy, with a dense core of focused tannins and lively acidity. Aromas of ripe black raspberry, anise and licorice open to layered, slightly jammy flavors of black cherry, blueberry pie and smoky cracked pepper. Drink now through 2024.”—Tim Fish

"The 2013 Zinfandel Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard (264 cases produced) was aged in 100% French oak of which 51% was new. This killer Zin includes a dollop of Petite Sirah. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by notes of licorice, incense, blackcurrants and black cherries, bay leaf, spice box, and pepper. This full-bodied stunner should drink well for 7-8 years or longer."

"There are 336 cases of the 2013 Zinfandel Hartford Vineyard, which comes from vines planted over 100 years ago on the estate vineyard of the Hartford Family Winery. Aged in 100% French oak (35% new), this wine possesses fabulous fruit intensity as well as abundant notes of black raspberries, blackcurrants and cherries intermixed with licorice, earth, vanillin and spice box. Full-bodied and powerful with massive fruit, opulence and a long finish that lasts nearly 40 seconds, this sensational Zinfandel can be drunk over the next 7-8 years."
—Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, October 2015
"The 2013 Zinfandel Dina's Vineyard emerges from a parcel of 100 year-old head-trained vines next to Highwire. Savory herbs, flowers and distinctly red-toned fruits open up in a precise, chiseled Zinfandel long on personality. A dollop of Carignan in this parcel seems to add brightness and nuance. Polished and silky through to the finish, the 2013 Dina's is one of many highlights in this exceptional range from Hartford Court."

"Another beauty is the 2013 Zinfandel Highwire Vineyard, which comes from century-old vines, half of which are head-pruned and the other half are trained on a trellising system, hence the name. Aged in 50% new French oak, it includes a small percentage of old vine Carignane in the blend. Terrific blackcurrant and kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with loamy soil, pepper, spice and unsmoked cigar tobacco are all present in this big, full-bodied, powerful Zinfandel. It should drink well for 7-8 years."
—Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, December 2014
"Dark red cherries, plums, lavender and sweet spices make a hugely positive first impression in the 2013 Jolene's Vineyard Zinfandel. Violets, smoke, mint and darker stone fruits develop in the glass, all supported by veins of bright acidity and tannin, both of which help convey freshness. This old-vine site on Olivet Road confers tons of pure personality."
