Tasting Notes 

The 2010 Fog dance displays aromas of orange blossom and creamy peach supported by juicy yellow apple, Mandarin orange and preserved lemon flavors. Green apple and citrus flavors complement the broad texture of the wine leading into a long mineral finish.

Vineyard & Vintage Character 

The 2010 was a relatively cool and low yielding vintage which produced very concentrated wines in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley. The 2010 Fog Dance Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from our estate owned, organically farmed vineyard directly east of Iron Horse Winery. This stunningly beautiful vineyard was planted in 1998 using Dijon Chardonnay clone 96 and ENTAV 809 and is planted upon the locally famous, Goldridge fine sandy loam soil (sometimes referred to as 'moon dust' due to it's ultra-fine and almost 'fluffy' texture).

The 2010 Fog Dance Vineyard Chardonnay bottling is named for the dance performed by the Pacific fog, drifting through the vineyards and back again to the sea each day. This wine reflects its cool Green Valley terroir, showing fresh fruit brightness and amazing transparency along with a refined and mineral driven texture. It is one of our small production single vineyard designated wines.
