Pure aromas of Queen Anne cherries, rose petals and lavender are supported by bright flavors of Griotte cherries, berries and orange zest. Velvety, fine grained tannins complement a long lavender and mineral finish.

2009 was a very concentrated and low yielding vintage for our Pinot Noir vineyard in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley. Although youthful, this 2009 Fog Dance Vineyard Pinot Noir provides a glimpse of the balance and structure that this outstanding vintage offers. The Fog Dance Pinot is from our organically farmed, estate owned Pinot Noir vineyard. This gorgeous vineyard was planted, beginning in 1996, upon the locally famous Goldridge fine sandy loam soils (sometimes referred to as "moon dust" due to its ultra-fine and almost "fluffy" texture) using primarily Dijon selections 667 and 777 clones.
The Fog Dance Vineyards, Green Valley Pinot Noir bottling is named for the dance performed by the Pacific fog, drifting through the vineyards and back again to the sea each day. This wine reflects its cool Green Valley terroir, showing the brightness and purity of cherry, berry and cranberry flavors along with an elegant and refined texture.
